About the Founder
Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a multilingual educator who teaches Mandarin in a private school in the United Kingdom, where I work closely with children who don’t speak Mandarin at home. I see firsthand the doubts, the hesitation, and the quiet fear of getting it wrong.
Through mackey-dokey, I create playful, practical Mandarin resources designed specifically for English-speaking families and classrooms.
For me, language learning isn’t about being superior or ahead of others. It strengthens the brain, builds confidence, opens doors to the world, and teaches children to respect cultures beyond their own.
This isn’t about learning faster.
